This last weekend I put together 24 activities to stick into our advent calendar. 24 little pieces of paper that say things like “Make Christmas Crafts Today”, “Decorate a Gingerbread House Today” and even “Eat Christmas Cookies for Breakfast Today!” Making Christmas cookies is on the 20th, and I can guarantee you we will be making at least one batch of sugar cookies – they are one of our favorites!

The best part about sugar cookie recipes is that they are so versatile. Most of these recipes are quite similar, it’s just the decoration and cutting that sets them apart.
