Sometimes crafts happen pretty much by accident around here. In this case, I was trying to create this awesome heart wreath but things just did not going according to plan. Looking at it now, I think the problem could have been that my paper strips were too narrow. In the end, though, we had a pretty little decoration that we used around Valentine’s Day.


How to Make a Pretty Paper Flower Craft With Kids
What You Need to Make a Paper Strip Heart Flower

Cut your paper into strips approximately 1" wide. Glue two strips with the white sides together so that you end up with two different patterns on each strip.

Place the points of the flower hearts together and staple each to the adjacent heart to form a flower.

The number of hearts you use for your paper flower depends on their size and the look you want. My five-year-old decided they needed centers, so she wadded up an additional strip of scrapbooking paper and glued it to the center on the ones pictured above.
